Chief O’Neill’s has become our go to place for fish and chips with mushy peas. On Friday’s it’s all you can eat fish but we never can make it past the three generous fish portions we receive on the first plate with the chips, peas, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and lemons. Our favorite starter is the cheese curds frite. The mixed alcoholic drinks are all really good too. The soda bread is very good too and complimentary. We always have a pleasant experience and the staff is attentive.

Walked in to a wonderful, over the top Christmas display. This was the first visit for our group of five and everyone commented that it was their favorite meal of our trip to Chicago. We ordered fish and chips, the oysters, bangers and mash, the grilled chicken sandwich, and the Castleisland Baked Onion Soup. Everything was 10/10. Restroom was clean and well-maintained. It had an authentic Irish pub feel to it. To top it off, our server Jennifer was the best!

The food here was amazing. I never had soda bread before but it was delicious. Let me tell you the butter idk what type of butter that is but I wanted to get a spoon and just eat it straight lol. I ordered the shepherds pie, it was the most lite and delicious Shepard pie I’ve ever had. It just makes love to your taste buds. The chili is also really delicious. The kitchen staff you can tell they take pride in their work. Now to the service, the hostess was very nice she greeted us with a smile. Our server on the other hand was the let down. How can the food, atmosphere, hostess and food runners be so amazing but the server is the let down. Other than the server let’s focus on how amazing everything else was, thank you for the awesome food. Oh one last thing the drinks were . I had the red haired lass omg that was good.

We hosted our wedding at Chief O'Neill's and we could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out. Siobhan and her team truly care about every detail and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect. The venue is beautiful, and the food is incredible. Multiple guests mentioned that it was the best wedding food they ever had. The servers and staff were so kind and attentive. I can't recommend Chief's enough for a wedding or event. I also love their regular dining experiences and their Sunday brunch buffet. The Irish pub vibe makes for a cozy dining experience with incredible food!

We were a party of four. We all ordered different meals. Our server was Elijah, and he went out of his way to make sure things were good for us. Checked on us often for any needs. He is the best! Personally, I ordered the salad with add on of steak and was amazed. I will get it again when we return. The other three in our party were 100% happy with their meals. The atmosphere is great. I will attach photos of our meals. Go visit this place and ask for Elijah!

My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary here and we could not have been happier with our decision to host our party at Chief O'Neill's. From the space itself, which was the perfect indoor/outdoor setting for our event, to the food, which we received many compliments on from our guests, to the fantastic quality of the service throughout the evening, which left everyone feeling cared for... We were so impressed. Siobhan and Etain were so lovely to work with, answering all of our questions and helping us sort out all of the details of planning our ~100 person event. They allowed us to bring all of our handmade decor days before the party, and worked hard on the day of to make sure that everything was set up the way we envisioned it. We can't say enough about how well the event was facilitated by the staff throughout the evening. The buffet service was so organized and everyone was seated and eating so quickly! Even with the buffet, our guests were waited on with drink service throughout the dinner, which was appreciated by all. The atmosphere of the outdoor space was just perfect for dinner under the twinkling string lights and candlelight. The indoor space gave us plenty of room for dancing and drinking by the private bar. We closed out the night on cloud nine, thanks to all the work behind the scenes and service of the Chief O'Neill's team!! This is a hidden gem for private events, and we highly recommend it.
